JDM fog light switch problem

So when I first installed my jdm foggies, the switch jammed on me, so i thought maybe it was just a defective switch so i sent it back to ebay guy and he sent me a new one.

so the damn switch jammed on me again and I can't really figure out why, I'm sending it to the ebay guy again for another exchange (2nd time).

However this time when it jammed, as I was driving (this time with my windows down), i smelled something unusual and it wasn't from outside. So I was thinking it may be the nokya yellows burning the film, so I decided to turn off the fogs, as soon as i pressed the button - it jammed... again. When I got home finally, I smelled the switch and it seems that something is melting or something. I took it out and from the looks of the switch on the middle part it looks like the plastic was beginning to melt. Any ideas why this would happen? I'm guessing the light inside the switch that gives it that orange glow is too hot?

any ideas? He's sending me one last new one before he's gonna start charging me for them. I think this time I'm gonna just leave the switch on and never turn it off...

I hope you're powering the foglights through a relay and not directly through the switch.....

The foggies are connected to a relay which are connected to the switch.

sound like the switch is somehow connected directly to the fogs. Are you SURE you have everything connected right? The only way this can happen is, you are drawing too much current through that switch.

By jamming, do you mean the switch doesn't pop back up?

If so, try moving the switch to the other empty slot... I remember the switch was too long for one of the slots... move it over one and it was all good..
