Jangling Chain & Metal Grinding
My 05 AT TSX has 25K miles and has developed a problem the dealer cannot seem to duplicate. Jangling chain sound which last about 20-30 seconds and then turns into a metal grinding, usually between 20-40 mph. This also seems to occur when the outside temperature is over 90 degrees. Same thing happened last summer when the temperature got extremely hot but not sure if that is contributing). Another clue is that it only occurs when the car is moving( forward or reverse doesn't seem to matter). When they towed the car to the dealer he said he cannot get the car to make any noise. Any info re this type of problem is very much appreciated. I love my TSX but have lost faith in making a long daily commute.

mssully: Could it be the A/C, possibly? Try turning AC off next time you hear the sound and see if it stops immediately. Also, as joerockt mentioned, get a tech to ride w/ you to pinpoint the sound. Sounds like some kinda resonance causing the noise.
