Interior Dome Light Not Functioning

Hi all:

One of my dome lights is no longer functioning. I am assuming that the most probable cause is a faulty bulb. Any other thoughts?

Also, anyone know how to remove the plastic cover in order to check/replace the bulb?

Thanks for your time,
-Cedric

It's probably the bulbd. Is it still under warranty? Take it into the dealer, or pop the light covers open on both sides and swap bulbs. I can't imagine the light being more than $2.

If you're still under warranty, do NOT take it anywhere besides the dealer to get it fixed. Why would you want to not only pay for a repair, but also pay for one that doesn't use OEM parts?

I figure I could just do it quiker myself. Plus everytime I bring my car to the local Acura dealer to get something fixed they always scratch something... it never fails.

Mine did the same thing. I just removed the cover and removed and re-inserted the bulb. It's worked fine every since.

To remove the cover: Get a very small screwdriver and look for a very small tab on the side of the cover. Slide the screwdriver in and pop the cover off.

Hey.......my passenger side dome light stopped working too. When I would open the door only the drivers side light would come on, but when I clicked the passenger light on and off a few times it started working again. Strange. This has happened a few times too. I figure it's probably a loose wire or something. One small point though, isn't the warranty for lights only 1 year?

This morning the light is out again -- strange. Where is the tab located?
