Installed injen intake, engine clicking? clip attached

I just installed my injen tonight in SRI mode.

I took it for a test spin and I am very pleased with the performance and the sound. However, when I brought it back to the garage and popped the hood to double check the clamps, etc. I noticed the motor has a clicking sound. (only took it for a 3-4 minute ride)

Now I have only had the car a month or 2 and I have never actually had the hood open with the motor running so I don't have a reference point. And with the hood closed, everything sounds AOK like it always has.

I just wanted to post a clip of the motor running with the hood up to see what you all thought. Here it is:

Is this ok or do I have a problem?

Thanks

As far as I know that's normal and not the result of the Injen intake. I have the same noise and have had my Injen installed for 40,000km in CAI mode. I'm not sure but I think it may be the injectors firing. If you take the cover off put your hand on the fuel rail and an injector you'll likely see that the ticks coincide with a pulse.

Could be wrong though.....

I posted it more for the sound, not for the video quality...

Thanks everyone, I was just worried since I did not have a reference point before and after the intake. I do remember my old accord having a similar sound though.

a run for 3-4 mins doens't give the engine enough time to pump the engine oil to the entire engine completely. That is why the clicking sounds is loud and it is normal for running a cold engine.... no worries!!!!

When I installed my Injen CAI, I had the same exact concern. I popped open the hood to check for hose leaks and ended up hearing the same thing.

The sound went away after a little more hard driving with the new CAI.

Possible Theory - the TSX's ECU could be "learning" how to adjust certain settings with the increased airflow. When TOV tested the AEM version, they noted a HP loss after the first run. After a few more hard runs, the HP kicked up. They felt it was due to ECU learning.

chek around the pipe of the intake right above the filter where it goes through the whole... it might be making contact with the hole which would make vibrations and that type of a sound ...good luck... if it is that just reposition the intake.(this happend to me ()
