Inner tie rod

My inner tie rod is a bit loose.

Have any of you replaced the inner tie rod? Can you replace the inner tie rod without having to remove the steering rack and/or the lower sub-frame?

not a 100% sure but haven looked at my own while the bottom ball joint was been replaced looks an easy job on the passenger side. think the rack and sub frame can stay.

The inner tie rods are pretty easy and can be done with out removing the tire, but you should remove the tire just to be safe. The only problem is taking the clamp off on the inner part of the bellow boot. a big set af crescent or channel locks can losen the inner tie rod. You pretty much remove the bellow boot clamps on both sides and slide it back (toward the side of the car closest to where the wheel would be and then everything is exposed. make sure to get an alignment after.
