Anyone know of an independent mechanics in central NJ. Wanted someone to take a look at my brakes, if they need to be replaced I wanted to buy from one of the vendors and have them install it.

 

Where in central Jersey? I have a mech I trust in Warren Twp.

 

I've used both North Branch Service Center on Rt. 22 East in Branchburg and also Walko Automotive on Camplain Rd. in Hillsborough.

What type of work did you get done at those shops? Cost?

 

Brakes, tune-up, heater/AC core work on Saab (saved me a bundle) at Warrenville, Rich's: header&cat, tires
Just call them..I don't have prices off-hand.

 

Freedman Auto in Edison is great (Route 27 North, in South Edison). Not the cheapest around, but they do solid work and try hard to please. They've been in business 30+ years, Jake (owner) is usually on premises and is a no nonsense kind of guy. Highly recommended.
