i do not want crack!!!!!!!!!!

hi ya'll. so i was driving in to work today and some $#%& was speeding and ran over a few gravel/rocks. well one of the rocks flew right to my windshield. i thought it either cracked it or broke through. luckily, it's only a small (very tiny) dent/scratch. i don't want to this to become a big huge problem. can this be fixed with some solvent/filler/etc.??????

please help.

You can try picking up windshield crack filler, typically found at auto stores.

Some insurance companies will waive the deductable to have a 'divet' fixed in a windshield just to prevent it from spreading and paying to replace the entire windshield. Unfortunately, my ins. com. (AAA), doesn't do this. I paid $55 to have a chip repaired.

I know my old insurance company (Geico) will fix any windshield chips free of charge and deductible so they don't become a bigger problem later. I would suggest calling your company to find out if they have a similar service.

Those big *CRACK* noises can be scary.

crazy glue is water soluble so I don't think it will work.

In Florida, it's the law that all auto insurance companies must fix/repair chips and cracks for free......no deductable and it doesn't count against you. I even got a crack in my vans windshield in VA and it was still covered when I got home. So, it may also depend on your state laws.
