How to preset 2 stations on one PRESET button?

We just got a TSX and somehow I cannot understand how to store 2 channels on one preset button. The manual does not say to hold one side of the button or the other. I try to do that and I can only get ONE station to be stored on one button. Per manual in XM1 mode I should be able to store 12 stations. Please help. I have not been able to locate the solution via the search feature.

I think it's only 6 channels in XM1, and 6 channels in XM2. There's only a limited number of buttons, so they have to provide two tabs for each frequency (XM1/2, FM1/2). Also, imagine how you'd go about accessing the channels via voice command. "radio select xm1 preset 4"...

Maybe there's a typo in the manual? maybe they just meant 12 channels for XM...not 12 channels for XM1 and 12 channels for XM2. After all, they did do that typo in the manual and say that the TSX has a LSD
