how to get those airbag warning stickers off
Anyone managed to remove those ugly airbag warning stickers on the sun visors? I was wondering what technique you used.

I read that page you linked to. It didn't seem like there was any reason given not to do it, other than the difficulty involved. Is there any other reason why I would want to keep the stickers?

Did you notice the after photo? Trust me, it looks way worse after you get it off than just leaving it on. I'm going to replace my visor. The sticker is more like a vinyl one on a t-shirt than it is an actual sticker. My advice is to not mess with it. Chemicals will ruin the visor, steam will ruin the visor and friction to remove the sticker will ruin the visor. The visor isn't cloth, its plastic and I don't know of any chemicals (I tried denatured alcohol since it is the least caustic) that won't hurt this visor by streaking the vinyl sticker's colors, which is why I went with steam. I too dislike the stickers, but short of having an OEM without them, I seriously wouldn't do this mod.

Some people on other forums have reported good results with laquer thinner - though on different cars. But thanks for the warning. Maybe it isn't worth the trouble.
