Hood isolation problem...

My sister has a 2004 tsx and we notice something really strange it seems like the belt is rubbing against the hood isolation which created a hole. The car has now 6000kms (a lot of highway cruising) has anyone had a similar problem?

ok maybe I haven't been clear enough... The hood isolation looks like it has been torn not burned but torn. when we close the hood, the torn spot aligns directly with the belt. Is it possible that something different has caused this???

Don't worry, it's actually the dealer that found the problem...

Get that critter before he really causes damage to your cars - chewing on wiring or hoses. Until he is caught try putting moth balls under your car(s).
