Cool HID lights don't align straight

After my 2008 TSX got in a accident which was the right side fender and front bumper my head lights don't align right at night anymore. The body shop says it's normal for the left side to be lower and right to be higher because of on coming traffic but I don't remember it being uneven at all before the accident? Does anyone know if this is true or I'm getting screwed by the body shop?

Driver's side light beam is positioned lower than the passenger side. To make sure, find a high flat wall and park about 10ft away from it.

Your headlight pattern should look like this roughly: (with the exception of the "``````" part)
``````__________
_____/_/
It's designed that way to avoid blinding oncomming traffic. Nothing is worse than driving 60 mph towards a blind guy driving.
Itchy is right. It's designed to be that way, it's how our projectors work. Also is higher on the right to allow more visual distance for possible pedestrians, animals etc. In Japan it's the opposite since they drive on the other side of the road. That is why a lot of ppl speak of swapping out projectors when they get the JDM lights.
