When I try to use my HandsFreeLink system, NOTHING happens. My TSX is essentially brand new, as I've had it for about a month, and all of a sudden, the HFL doesn't work. I used it successfully before. The problem hasn't got anything to do with pairing--when I press the HFL button, there is NO beep. Nothing happens. I'm freaking out because I'm worried about my car--it's my first car! It's like my baby. Has this happened to anyone? What can I do? I'm at college and there is no Acura dealer anywhere nearby.

 

You really need to bring it to an acura dealer so that they can investigate and possibly replace the HFL unit. I don't think there's anything you can do, other than maybe disconnecting the battery for a moment and hopefully having it reset.

I'm trying to imagine myself making a call, and I don't even know if I wait for a beep the first time I press it. I know it beeps starting at the 2nd press... I usually do my calling as I'm pulling away, so I'm usually swerving and looking around and stuff.

 

"Don't panic," the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy says. Good advice here. Read your manual, make sure you're doing the right things (it's easy to forget), and after RTFM it still doesn't work, you'll want to get a warranty check. The good news is that the warranty lasts a long time so no worries. Also, if I understand correctly, loaners are SOP for scheduled (prior appointment, not drop in) maintenance.
