Help Troubleshooting HID Headlight -- Need your brain

This all starts from here
https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-tsx-problems-fixes-128/headlight-i-screwed-mine-up-trying-change-bulb-need-little-help-801743/
But I seem to have fixed that problem. New problem

Summary: 06 TSX: When attempting to change a dimming HID bulb, I screwed up my control unit assembly. I bought a new one. I pulled off the bumper and both headlamps (in their entirety).

Through, troubleshooting I can identify it's not the ballast, bulb or control unit because when I swap the entire headlamp unit from the "bad" passenger side and plug them into the good driver side, it lights up. Same with if I swap the "good" driver side headlamp to the bad passenger side -- it doesn't work.

This leads me to believe that something has to be wrong PRIOR to where the harness clips into the HID headlight. Aggg this was not the case before. It worked fine before!!!!

Can someone help me out before I just drive my car into a wall and shell out the $500 deductible?

So I got to thinking. Could it be a fuse. Does each headlight independently have its own fuse?

My headlight is all fixed with bumper back in place. I'd like to thank Pacman for the help while I figured it out.

As a learning lesson. The black connector that is on your HID controller DOES NOT come off (even though there are screws holding it in).
