HELP: Password JDM Fog Light Installation

I am looking for assistance from anyone who has successfully installed the Password JDM Fog Lights on a 2003-2005 TSX, using the provided subharnesses.

My installation is nearly complete, but I have run into a bit of a snag with the wiring harnesses provided with the kit.

I had no problem with the lengths of either harness (underhood or underdash), but there are two problems with each harness.

1. The underhood harness has a brown 3-pin connector with one green wire running into it that is supposed to plug into a matching brown connector taped to the wiring harness up near the fusebox. The brown connector on the car was only a 2-pin connector, with a blue and a green wire running into it. I matched up the green wires and made the connection.

2. The underdash harness went in fairly easily, but there is a white 2 pin connector (again, with a single green wire) that has no mate. According to the PW JDM instructions, there is supposed to be a connector to mate with it found somewhere on the left side of the steering column, but I cannot find this connector anywhere.

As it stands, the fog lamp switch lights up with the parking light circuit, but neither the fog lamps nor the "fog lamp on" indicator light on the switch will turn on. All other lights and lamps function normally and all other components included with the kit are installed.

Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.

Take a look at your wiring diagram and find out what wire is responsible for opening the circuit and allowing power to the fog lights when you push the actual button. That wire needs to be extended from the under dash harness to one of the wires on the under hood kit. I not 100% but I do think the JDM password fogs are similar to the ones off ebay with the B wiring harness (the ones i bought). I installed them a while ago, and I had the relay to put in, and two wires to plug in under the fuse box into the right spots. the other wire (i think from off the relay not sure) was the one that had to be extended to meet up with one under the dash and I think it was green (not sure though). Under the dash had one that plugged into the fuse box, one i spliced for the dash light and the other one extended to meed up with the other. Sorry if this dosen't make sense. Do you have any pics of the loose wires? I will look at mine later and hopefully be able to see how its in there. Good luck

Yes I did. PW JDM could not provide a response and indicated that they had never heard of this problem before.

Thanks for your reply. I have not yet been able to take pictures--but your response definitely put me on the right track I think. Based on further research, it appears that the green wire under the hood and the green wire under the dash will need to be connected for this whole deal to work. I haven't had time yet to jump the connection first before passing a wire through the firewall, but I will keep you posted if this is the fix in case any other members are having/will have the same problem with this kit.
