Help Car Charger Not Working

Hey guys, i need some help i dont know what to do. BOth my power adapters, the one in the change tray, and the one in the arm rest both do not work. ANY IDEAS??? I took the dash apart, to access the amp but i did not touch any wires, and all wired are in the right spot. I spliced wired of the amp, but that should not affect the adapter. ANYONE HAVE A CLUE?? w

Have you checked the fuses? Also, this sounds dumb, but has been a surprise to some, they don't work unless the car is turned on. Suppose you have checked that, right?

First check the fuse. If it is blown then check the power socket for any small metal objects (paper clip etc.) I had the same problem a few months back and ended up having metal pieces in the socket.

If the fuse in the Fuse Panel for the 12V power outlet is checks out fine, then check the fuse in the end of the charger adapter that your plugging in----usually they have fuse protection integrated in them at the end that plugs into the car outlet ..... turn the small silver grooved lock washer counter-clockwise until it comes off being careful to not loose the spring that holds the in-line glass fuse. Some have the newer plastic plug-in style fuses that don't require the spring!
