Good Morning All

I have a 2006 Acura TSX 6spd with 140k miles and I am having some issues...when in neutral (stopped) the car RPMs will rev up and down from 1000 to 3000ish and the check engine light and VSA lights are on. Then after stopping and having the car off for a few minutes the check engine light is the only one and the RPM rev went away. This has happened before but only when the car would be around 15% oil indicator. After an oil change the problems went away. The car is currently at 80% oil.

I took it to Advanced to have them do the diagnostic test and these are the codes I am getting: 61-1, 83-1, P1009.

Any tips and help would be greatly appreciated!!

 

Iirc, P1009 relates to the vtec solenoid.

Vtec actuation is based on oil pressure, so have you checked your oil level?

There's also a screen on the solenoid that can sometimes get clogged.
