Heated oxygen sensor heater
maybe you should replace your o2 sensor? its not hard to do, but i'm not sure if it will fix your problem...
Also, my friend's 92 camry has smoke coming out of the exhaust... any guesses at what is wrong?

Code 41 is definitely an issue with the heated O2 sensor. I have a diagnostic flow chart photocopied here, which I can mail you if you like.
My question is, does the light just come on when you drive it when the engine is cold, or does the code stay on all the time? This will help in knowing how to make the repair as well.

The check engine light comes on about 2 seconds after it starts running. The light stays on the entire time.
I have taken off the o2 sensor and inspected it. The sensor looks to be fairly new. The wires are all bright and the connections are all clean. Of course the portion that goes into the exhaust has exhaust residue.
Cheers!

Well I have bought a new O2 sensor, which should fix the problem. The code is saying that the heater in the O2 sensor is bad, which would mean the O2 sensor is faulty.
I'll let y'all know if this is the fix
