Headlight Out, Help
Headlight Out, Help
Alright so my headlight is out, and I opened the hood to see if it was an easy fix like the rear lights. I counted 2 twist/plug bulbs (signal light and high beam) I pulled each out to make sure they weren't the low beam either. The low beam I assume is in the container looking thing closest to the cars side body. And it says 'danger, dont open, deathly voltage (12000volts)' or something.
Am I able to change the low beam myself? Has someone written out a tutorial? Or do I need to spend $XXX.xx in order to get my light replaced.
(Also, I need to get this fixed as soon as I can because I drive at night for work and don't feel like getting pulled over because of it.)

Headlight out
Hi, i recently had to change a headlight in my 05 tl. You have to remove the front bumper first, than there are 5 or 6 bolts that hold in the headlight. Once you get the bumper and those bolts off, all you have to do is disconnect any connectors and it should come right out.
Here's a message I sent to someone before about replacing the lowbeams.. hope this helps..
"here is what I did:
1. disconnect the negative connection of the battery (just for safety reasons)
2. to be able to remove the housing.. you need a small tamper proof hex screwdriver...
3. once you have that, unscrew the screw hoolding the housing in. (space is kinda tight, especially on the pass side - I had to de-tach the top of the washer fluid spout.
4. once the screws are off, twist the housing to remove it
5. once the housing is off, you have access to the bulb socket.. it's held on by 2 clips.. one on each side of the socket
6. push the clips to the side and back out(t/w the back of the car) to de-latch them
7. with the clips off, you can take out the socket.. to remove the bulb.. you just have to twist out the old bulb.. twist in the new one
8. go backwards from step 6 to replace the socket, clips, housing and screw.
good luck! took me about 30 mins.. mainly because it's hard to get your hand in there to deal with the clip and screws."
