Headlight Focus

I've had my TSX a couple of months and I'm wondering if anyone is bothered by the sharp horizontal focus of the headlights. I find driving a night much harder because the beams cut off so sharply at the top (due to, I guess, their being recessed). I guess I'm not used to headlights that don't "bleed" a bit, but just provide a line of light that suddenly cuts off. Is this typical of Acuras? I've certainly never encountered it in any other car I've driven. Can this be adjusted?

Its SAE regulated! DOT requires carmakers who use HIDs to reduce glare since they are so bright.

its typical on cars with HID projectors. It gives a much more focused beam of light. Cars w/ HIDs w/o projectors (only reflectors) like the G35 don't look near as good.

Consumer Reports agrees with you.

I noticed it but, truthfully, it never really bothered me. I've had a TSX behind me at night and any bumps in the road make it look like the TSX is "flashing" its headlamps. Other drivers might be bothered.
