just bought a pre-owned 06 tsx and can't get the handsfree link going. when i press the talk button the msg (voice) i get is:... "the system is locked up, what is your 4 digit code?"

*i have tried the 4 digit nav code (btw, the nav has been working fine).

You'll probably have to go to an Acura dealer - with the VIN they should be able to give it the secret handshake. The next question is how did it get locked up in the first place.

 

I agree, sounds like a 10 minute trip to the dealer to get it sorted out.

 

well....i guess so...i was hoping it is something simple.

how it got locked- it is a mystery: the owner can't recall and i did not find any thing i the manual about locking or unlocking it.

Sounds like whoever last owned the car set up a pairing PIN. You'll have to go to the dealer for a system reset more than likely.

 

I purchased a 06 tsx this past January and also wanted to pair my phone but the system was locked. The dealer that I bought it from didn't have a clue so I had to go the Acura "stealership" to get it fixed. I had just went over 50k miles so it was out of warranty so they charged me $55 to reset the code. They also said that if they couldn't reset it they'd have to change out the whole system...aka $300+. Just go to the dealership and ask them about what options you have. Let me know how it goes.
