Exclamation Handsfree Issue

Help!! I have a 2006 TSX which I bought brand new and love this car still to this day. My iPhone is paired with the car, though the car will not detect the phone and will not pair when I manually try to pair the phone to the car. The HandsFree Link is still showing in my devices on the phone. Something to do with the car.

I have tried to find out where the HFL is located and have been told that it's in the door kick panel (passenger) and then that it's above the map lights. Any ideas???

Please please help..

From my shop manual, you have to remove the kick panel to access the control unit. The microphone is in the map light.

I think accords with the hands-free accessory had the control unit above the map light.

How would I determine what the problem is. If the system still works when I push the button on the steering wheel, but the car will not "pair" with the phone. Would that be the unit or something else?

I don't have the HFL in my car, so I never had to troubleshoot. Here is a thread on resetting the HFL. Looks like it worked only on the TL without navigation. Just make sure you have your radio code before doing this. It is worth a shot.

Another possibility is to pull the #6 and #32 fuses in the box under the driver's dash. You will probably need the radio code trying this as well.

Didn't work. Appreciate the information though. If anyone else has any other ideas or can tell me or show me a repair manual, that would be great. Going to try to replace the HFL Module if I can find it. It's funny, at the Dealer, parts told me behind the kickplate/passenger side and service tech told me at the map light. Found funny that the dealership had no clues when I asked.

It's a 2006 TSX with Navi.

Hfl unit

The Hfl Unit is behind the passenger side kick-panel & the microphone is up by the home link/ sun-glass holder. The Hfl unit are big bucks. Good luck
