I went to my local dealer so they could fix the wiring harness that's been recall right now.. and I told the nice service manager there that the leather of my steering wheels is tearin ..(I didn’t make it a big deal) and I wanted to see if they could do anything to fix it.. I was surprise to hear that "don't worry sir , we'll get you a new one.. I was like damm I wasn't really expecting a new one .. but I will take one I'm very satisfied with ACURA service

 

what dealer is that ??? - spread the word man

Tell them you want one from the 2005 model that has lights for the buttons!

Im scheduled for a service tomorrow morning for a similar problems - leather coming up in back. First time i went, they said "some TSX's have that" and i said "some don't. Fix it". So they will either make is so good i can't tell or they will replace it. I'm going to ask fo rthe 2005 sw. Acura in San Antonio (wish me luck).

 

Even if you get the 2005 steering wheel, where do you expect to plug those lights in? Your 2004 wiring harness most certainly doesn't have the power supply for it.

 

i dont think they will give u back the old steering wheel .. ~~ they have to send it back to Acura for the warrenty shit .. ~~ at least that's wut happen to my stero unit .. ~

 

well I'm not too sure if I got a 2005 steering wheel but this one looks DAMM NICE .. The one that came with the car had some leather pieces in the back of it that were not completely attach to the steering wheels so it didn't look nice..

The new one ohh my .. I love it every thing looks so well put together and I love the feel of new leather .. I think mine could be 2005 steerin wheel.. I'm not sure

 

If you have illuminated buttons on the steering wheel then it is the 2005.

 

Yeah, and don't the 2005's have black buttons instead of our silver buttons?

I got a 2004 then .. but that's OK cause I love it

 

My dreams are shot. All i ever wanted was illuminated steering wheel and an unlock switch on the driver door like the passenger side.

It is still in shop, so I will continue to hope for the best.
