gearing question
gearing question
I just wanted to know if anyone else has this problem.
when i'm cruising in traffic in 1st gear, I'll get the gas steady to try and maintain my speed. But then as I go forward, the car feels like its struggling to slow down, and then there is this "release" as it jerks forward and goes forward, almost like the feeling when you do a bad shift except its all in the same gear. This also happens, though to a lesser degree, when i'm trying to coast at a set speed in 2nd gear.
I know that if you are near a stop in 1st and try to give it alot of gas to revive it, sometimes you'll get this huge jerking motion b/c the car is trying to rejuice itself, but my problem occurs at low speed around 10-15 mph.
hope you guys could understand what I was trying to say...thanks

It's caused by the "drive-by-wire" throttle. You'll just have to get used to it.
See this thread for some more info.

cool, thanks Clutch. That other post was EXACTLY what I was complaining about. Here I was thinking I just sucked at driving manual. I shoud probably mention this when I go in for the trunk wire recall soon.
