Gas Pedal Problem

After driving the tsx for a few weeks now, I've noticed a bit of play in the gas pedal. It'll move around forward and back a bit without actually doing anything/giving the engine gas. There's no resistance from the pedal in this dead zone either; it moves freely, as if something's loose.

Anybody heard of this? or know what could be wrong?

I'd take it to the dealer if it's really a concern.

Sorry, but I just have to laugh at TommySalami

Good luck! Hopefully it's normal/not a big deal.

You mean all Acuras? Because my dad's bmw doesn't have this, his old mercedes (got rid of it a week ago) doesn't have this, and it's the same type of pedal.

I just took a look at it with a flashlight and saw the problem. There's a little gap in between this part that pulls on a wire, and the part of the wire that it pulls on. It's basically a wire with a bolt on the end, and a ring connected to the pedal and going around the wire that pulls on this bolt. The gap is in between the two of these.

I could probably fix it on my own by putting a thin rubber washer in the gap, but I want to get some gold emblems put on so I might as well have them fix it the right way at the same time.
