Front door locks

Hi,
I'm new to this site. i need some advice/help.
I have a 2005 TSX. Bought it brand new and other than the recalls I haven't had any issues up to the past week. All of a sudden, the front door locks wont work with the remote. They still work manually and with the key from the outside but not with the remote. The back door locks/trunk/panic button work just fine with the remote. I reprogrammed the remote but the front door locks are still refusing to work. I'm assuming that because the remote operates the back door locks it shouldn't be the remote battery. I'm stumped. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I agree that since all of the functions other than the front locks work, that should indicate that the battery is OK, but.... I'd still replace it (trust me, it's ready, and assuming you still have the second remote tucked away somewhere, change that one too. You may find that it's dead from lack of use; I did). Since the key will operate all of the locks (and/or just the driver's door lock I assume), that should point to the remote as the problem and replacing the battery seems the logical place to start.

Oh, and welcome to the site. I had an 05 till last January and loved it. Bought it new, we put 178K miles on it, and it was still perfect when I finally sold it. Probably the best car I've ever owned (and I've owned a ton).

Changed the battery on remote. Front doors locks still not working. I read on another posting that the door lock actuators like to go bad on Acuras. Man, I don't want to go to the dealer. Ugghhh

You don't need to go to the dealer. Battery is not the culprit - front power lock actuator has died - read this thread, its a pretty easy fix.

Yes, follow that thread. I just replaced the actuators about a month ago and it wasn't too terribly hard. I am a novice when it comes to cars too. Just read over that entire thread, also look up TSX actuator on youtube. There is a pretty good video on there. You can find the actuators online for around $15 a piece.

Keep us informed on what you find. I'm skeptical of the actuator fix only because when I've had one go bad, nothing will make it work (the door lock won't work, period). But since it's evidently not the remote, the actuators are about the only thing left in the mix to address.
