Fog light mod for 06 tsx

I was wondering if any one has thought about moding the fog lights to turn on, with the parking lights. There is no service manual available yet, so I have no idea which wire is used to make the fog light switch hot. Seems to me that all I would have to do is locate this wire and connect it to the hot parking light wire.
Anyone?

It has been talked about for the 04-05 fogs (seemingly no different). Was not a successful pursuit.

That is a big bummer. Any idea why it couldn't be done? The only reason I can see that would make it too difficult is if all the needed connections are in the lighting stalk itself.

That and everything is wired from the Relay directly into the fuse box. Kinda hard to beat that.

Hmm?? sounds like a number of obstacles are present to make this not that easy.

So I wonder.....would it be possible to disconnect the OEM fogs from the stalk control and add an aftermarket aux light rocker type switch and/or wire it to come on with the ignition? Basically bypass the stock controls and wire it as though it were aftermarket.

So then the Fogs would be Auto-On with ignition and then the front side markers would have to be turned on with the light stalk (as normally done). It is not an all-in-one as the OP desired but a potential work around. Maybe?

***BTW I want OEM fogs as DRLs***

It seems that so many Canadians who have DRLs don't want em, and others in US who 'hate' DRLs maybe just want to be stealth and not attract attention for ??? activities they may be involved in (0-60 runs?)

I still want them on my 06. And prefer not running the HIDs. So the search continues. Any help how to get DRLs using fogs would be appreciated. thanks, ed

Here is a quote from the VA law:
B. Not more than four lights used to provide general illumination ahead of the vehicle, including at least two headlights and any other combination of fog lights or other auxiliary lights approved by the Superintendent, shall be lighted at any time. Fog lights shall be lighted only in fog or other inclement weather.

I'm sure it is also illegal in other states as well. Fog lights are very bright and pointed in a direction to aid visibility in fog. When used when there is no fog they are too bright and can blind oncoming drivers. It is because some people leave them on all the time that laws are being passed to prevent it.

located low - not necessarily pointed low and they have a different spread than headlights.
have you noticed that they go out when you put on the high beams? only two lights (high candle power) per side are legal.
