My fog light bulb is out I noticed tonight - but no indicator in the dash cluster letting me know - is this standard ? I haven't checked the manual yet, just thought I'd ask on here cause I'm bored.....

That would be nice, but no. My 3rd rear brake light was out earlier this year and I only found out when my car got inspected.

simple. Just gotta remove the plastic under the bumper to get at them. I replaced with hyper whites a while ago. I put my car on ramps cause otherwise its too low to get at

Thanks yeah I didn't see anything about it in the owners manual either. Seems odd since that technology has been around forever...

My opinion on the "bulb out" technology is that it adds complexity (and possible problems) to the electronic system. When I owned a VW passat, it had issues with thinking a bulb was out when it wasn't.

Honda does have this technology on their cars that have DRL, as this may be more of a safety requirement.
