With the car unlocked, I'm unable to open the trunk from the outside using the release on the trunk lid, above the license plate.

The trunk release button works from the fob; so I'm not locked out of my own trunk, thankfully.

I just got it back from a 15k service; it was functioning properly until then. Is there a fix other than seeing the dealer for a mechanical failure?
