Engine turning off.. mass problem?

4 seperate times in the last month I would be sitting at a stoplight, then all of a sudden the car would turn itself off.
The car was not in gear (6mt). The car would jsut shut off this has happened 4 times in the last month. Has anyone else here had this problem at all and mayeb ingnored it a few times. I will msot likely take it in to get checked.

That's definitely not common. You should have that checked out.

Sounds like you have a hybrid TSX but they forgot the battery.

Sounds like you've got bad fuel. Change the gas station you are going to.

Might be the car's fuel pump, too.

What was the idle rpm just right before it dies? It could be bad fuel or clogged injectors...

Well for the Year + time ive had car I have never put anyhting under 93 octane in it at all. I dirve very conservative. I havent even took itover 6000 rpm.

All the times so far it has happened is when I was at a light IDLE. Car has been early for scheduled oil changes, mainteance, etc. out of the 12000 miles I got on it now, It has had 7 oil changes.

Aha, all those oil chages makes the engine run so smooth it turns itself off.

The problem you will have at the dealer is the dreaded "we can't reproduce the problem".

You gonna have to pay a lot of attention to all the variables when it happens, like AC, clutch position, lights, etc.

My Accord does this but only if the conditions are just right - toward the end of the engine warmup and quickly disengaging the clutch.

allright, ill start looking at those conditions.

Reason for all the oil changes is, I bought my Car in Hawaii, Colin sold it to me. I was in the army and deployed 9 months a year, My TSX would be sitting alot of the time in storage, so I would do oil changes mileage or not, and change it again after shipping it over seas.
