Question Engine interferring with radio

Just did a search through the TSX community and nobody has mentioned this problem.

My husband and I spent a lot of time driving last week in the TSX and we noticed that the engine was interferring with the radio (high pitched noise when you accelerate only - no interferrence when your not pressing the gas pedal).

I know in the past with other vehicles it was our spark plug wires or bad grounds, but we haven't done anything to the TSX and it only has 13,000 kms.

I'm going to mention this to the dealership when I bring it in for its next oil change, but does anybody else have this problem or had this problem?

Sounds like a alternator problem. Have them check it before it gets worse. I have a Ford Explorer and My am radio would humm with the engine rpm and increase when I accelerate.
The Alternator was about to go out. They repalced it and wa la, its fixed. No problems on my 06 TSX....

You should also search the Audio & Video Forum. We encourage audio related posts to go to that forum rather than in the model specific forum. You may find your answer there.

Do you experience this whine even when the radio is turned off?
Does it get louder as you turn the radio up?

Nope - it's not there when the radio is off and it doesn't get louder.
