Engine flush needed??

Well, my car had been sitting at the shop for a little more than 6 months, is a engine flush needed?? i read on the web that its not the best thing to do. Then, what should I do since my car has been sitting for more than 6 months. Oil change for sure, but any other stuff as well?? Thanks

I would suggest that you just do an oil drain and fill (although not necessary). It is not necessarily to do a drain and fill of the transmission fluid. Do not ever have your transmission fluid flushed out with a machine as that will damage the transmission. And only use Honda ATF fluid.

Wow, thanks for the reply. Ya i heard you shouldn't do a flush. What is an oil drain and fill?? Is that just draining out all the old oil and fill it back up with new oil? So basically like a normal oil change?

And what would you suggest then? Please back up your suggestion with engineering facts and articles, just as Honda/Acura has done with their ATF over the years.

PrecyseStylez has no idea what he is talking about. There are only one or two other transmission fluids that will work on a Honda transmission and the debate is still out on that. If you want to play it safe you ONLY use Honda transmission fluid....unless you want to damage your transmission.
