ive done 3 tsx's, one tl with ecu problems, but not because the computer itself went bad.

it happens when the evaporator core drain tube becomes blocked.. horrible acura design..

water drips onto the ecu, fries random circuits, usually immobilizer and transmission circuits.

ill have a list about 20 codes long from this happenening.

usually have to replace immobi unit, and ecu, reprogram keys and they are on their way.

 

Just had my first problem with my 2006 TSX. Car would not start and got the error message "Check Emissions System". Had the vehicle towed to a nearby Honda dealer (my Acura dealer is 90 minutes away) and checked the codes. Failed ECM, needs a new one at close to $900.

Since my TSX only has 14,000 miles but is out of warranty, I am asking my dealer for some consideration. Just happened today, waiting to hear back from the Acura dealer.

Anyone else have their ECM go bad? How much to replace?

 

Your vehicle is not out of the emissions warranty which is 8yr/80k (I think) - plead with the dealer and escalate if required to the mother ship.
