Drivetrain Noise

I seem to recall another post similar to this several weeks ago, but cannot remember the specifics. The problem I have is that when I first put the TSX in gear (5-Speed AT) and move forward to exit my driveway, I often hear a brief "clunk" sound as though something is engaging/moving into place in the drivetrain. I never hear the sound again until the next time I leave my garage. I'm sure that this is nothing serious, but still...would like to hear that others have had the same experience.

I hear "something" as well...dunno what it is. For me, it typically does it just after driving a few feet.

Its because the car is cold and it's an automatic. Since the engine is cold the ecu keeps the revs higher until it's warmed up. That will cause it to shift harder due to the revs being higher, when ig shifts hard it sort of clunks into gear. Most autos will shift harder and later while they're warming up also. Later because it leaves it in that gear to warm up faster and harder because the revs are higher.

That's been my experience at least.

Happens to me too. It's the ABS doing a self test.
