Driveshaft level 2.9 axles
Driveshaft level 2.9 axles
Hey Guys and girls,
Last month i fitted the level 2.9 axles in my 05 to sure the annoying vibration issue. Vibration gone, drives a dream..
Well, in the last week or so, when i turn left, my right wheel makes a clunking sound. Now im no mechanic, but CV joints? on one month old 2.9 shafts? doesnt seem right to me.
The shafts come with sealed boots and all. I'm assuming being sealed, that the cv joints are greased up?
Ideas anyone?

Weird. I'd contact DSS and ask them about it.
I just replaced my pass. side axle with an EMPI "all new" OE replacement axle and it went smoothly. The vibration i 100% gone, but, I hear a lower-pitched squeak when turning sharply at low speeds in forward or reverse. Its sporadic, though. I'm thinking/hoping that it is just the CV joints needing time to fully get coated in grease, as yes, they do come pre-greased and are fully sealed like the DSS ones.
