Yup, mine moves front to back and left to right during fast turns or quick braking. I don't remember it happening at first, but my seats had to be taken out during a water problem. I'm not sure if the problem started then or I just paid more attention afterwards but it defiantly happens now. It's only about a half a inch like you said, but it's very annoying. It takes away from the confidence feeling.

I'll probably have my dealer take a look at it soon.

BTW. there was a recent thread about this same issue.

Yeah - the other thread was more about the moving forward/backwards - not left to right - its definitely a confidence issue (if they cant get the seat rails right, whats next????

But, like I said, everything else is working fine, so as soon as I boost up the stereo w new speakers/sub/amp, and figure out how to add about 50 more ftlbs of torque ...my TSX 'll be perfect.

Please let me know if your dealer is able to fix it. I'm going to mention it to the dealer during the next visit, but I doubt what can be done about it, short of replacing the entire power seat mechanism.

Mine does it too!! I had to take my car in today to get my fog light housing replaced (stupid rocks ) but I also mentioned to them the seat problem. They, of course, couldn't replicate it and re-tourqued the bolts of the seat track but it still is happening. Any ideas? fixes? thanks...

I am having the same problem but its more front/back movement.

Also anyone having a problem with the sliding console. Isn't it supposed to lock or something. Mine is really free and a slight nudge makes it move back when I want it out and vise versa.

I have the same issue with my seat sliding to the right when I make left turns. It doesn't happen all the time and when I took it into the dealer, they were unable to replicate it, but just tightened the bolts on the track and said it would be fine. It's not. If anyone finds the solution, please post it.

Thanks.

mine seat doesn't move either... maybe the teeth on the seat motors are worn, so they slip??

My seat definitely shifts left and right on turning car movements--very unsettling. Sounds very famililar to the MDX TSB I just read.
They install shims in that to help fix.

I just brought mine in for service and had them replace the seat track to fix my side to side issue, so far so good, infact I didn't even think about it until I read this thread again

Same here. I didn't notice it at first, but its very apparent. I'm not exactly sure if its a front/back or left/right thing, but it does feel a little diagonal.

As lopinc mentions, a track replacement seems to fix the problem. [as others have reported]

I'm going to have them look at it during my first oil change. (another 1300 miles togo.. that shouldn't take long)

Sorry guys, i had to dig this up after 2 years........... but i need some fresh input

My car is in service now for the fourth time for the sliding seat issue. They have only replaced the seat track once. I keep taking it back in to get a nice long paper trail on the issue so we have someone to sue when the seat breaks loose in an accident.

It's the seat-BASE that is the culprit. I had mine changed (like a $500 dealer-cost part) and everything is perfect now.

Mention that there is a TSB for this, and also mention that it is specifically the SEAT BASE.

Point the retards in the right direction and they just might find something "after all".

Moving Drivers Seat

Holy ****!

My seat does the same thing. Drives me crazy. Acura has told me that they have order me new seat rails. I have been complaining about this since day 1 and 3 years later they figure out a possible solution.

Has anyone had trouble with the heated seats not working? I brought mine in this morning for service, the heated seats not working. They called me in the afternoon to tell me that the seats are fine and have no issue. WHAT? The seat did not work all winter ro this morning for that matter and the minute I bring it in for service it is back up and running? This car is beginning to make me look like a lunatic. I say something is wrong and the say no it isn't.

What is with car companies these days? No accountability? If I tried that I would 1.) lose clients left and right and 2.) get fired on the spot!

Resurection...

had the same problem with My G35. The constant moving back and forth wears the track. Already starting to feel it with about ten thousand miles on mine.

note that many of us have had the dealer replace the seat tracks numerous times, only to have the problem return in a few 1000 more miles. Do your best to get them to honor any warranty service. I'm going in for the 4th time for my shifting drivers and passenger's seats. So annoying...

2005 TSX - first noticed seat shifting in turns around 20K miles. Took in a printout from here where people were complaining about the problem and indicating what dealers had done to repair. Was told, "can't believe everything on the web.". After two tries the dealer replaced the "L/F Seat Slide Assembly" and havent' had a problem since. Currently just passed the 45K mark.
