Drink holder lid not locking down

All, I am a new owner of a 2004 TSX with Nav which I have come to really enjoy now for a week. I am very happy with the car and wanted to add an MP3 input to the stereo, which I did using the instructions found elsewhere in this forum. Unfortunately I managed to break the lid to the cup holder trying to pry out the center console.

Does anyone know if this is a fixable problem or if I am better off trying to replace the whole piece?

thank you in advance.

The cupholder can be removed from the center console. It's run off gears/springs, if you want to try to take it apart and fix it, it could probably be fixed. From the dealer, the part is around $90. You may wish to buy it from the junkyard or someone parting up a wrecked TSX for cheaper.

HoRRo, thank you... I took it apart and fixed it. Found that a C clip that is used to retain the lid close had been popped out of position. The C clip is held in place by a metal retainer attached to the housing of the cup holde by a screw. Pictures are here:
