Door Lock problems
Door Lock problems
I just bought the 2004 TSX a couple days ago and love it. I just barely noticed that the door locks aren't working correctly. The back door locks work properly(they lock and unlock using both the drivers door controls and key fob) however the front two doors are acting strange.
The passenger door is constantly in the locked position. When I press the unlock on the key fob and door control, the lever on the door rises up for a second then returns to the locked position. Which means I can't unlock the door for my girl, I have to get in on the drivers side and lift the lever manually.
The drivers side just doesn't lock, I press the lock button on the key fob and door controls and the lever moves for a moment then returns to the unlocked position.
I was reading in the manual about how the system won't lock the car if it notices the key fob in the car.. When I bought the car I only received one key fob. I have looked everywhere but can't find another one located in the car anywhere. And the manual doesn't say anything about why the passenger door would be acting the way that it is.
I called the Acura dealership and they want to charge me 100 bucks an hour to diagnose the problem...which doesn't include fixing the problem. If any has any idea what the heck is going on I would greatly appreciate not spending 100 bucks for some dealer to rape me if this is a simple fix.
