When driving, right before I come to a complete stop, there's a creaking sound coming from the rear of the car. Can't hear it any other time. TSX only has about 9,500 miles on it. Should I get this looked at?

 

 

I think someone else has had this similar problem before, or maybe it was while cornering, but they said that after numerous visits to the dealer, it was found to be a spot-weld connecting the rear bracing (under the parcel shelf) to the unibody.

Might be completely off on that one, though.

Do you hear the same noise when going slowly over speed bumps (without braking at the same time, and then with braking at the same time) ? If so, it might be a prematurely worn bushing, or a cracked spring (happened on my 1991 Teg once)

So the sound is only audible right before you come to a stop? Does the sound appear when you're on uneven surfaces?

 

I can hear it the most when I come to a stop. I'll have to pay closer attention when I'm driving to see if I hear it any other time.

 

Probably something caked onto the brakes if it only happens when you drive etc...
If you've never heard it with anything else...
