Creeking noises in cabin

anyone ever felt like that the TSX is so compacted made car that sometimes you hear creeking sounds in the back seats and sometimes they go away? Im not sure what im hearing but it is not good I think.... its not rattling, but more of a crreeeek creeek creeek sound... like something in the car is fitted TOO tight and it is rubbing against something.

Maybe it's the armreat that's open. Put it back in the bench and it should be solved.

Or, listen to your moonroof. The gasket can cause a "creaking" sound if it gets dusty and dry.

I occasionally hear a "ticking" sound when going over bumps. Sounds like its coming from the rear windsheild.

I think that is the most likely culprit. Many of us had that problem at one time or another.

To see if that is the problem, try driving around with the shade on the sunroof closed. If you don't hear the creaking at that point, you've got the answer.

Fortunately, it is easily fixed. Go to Pep Boys and get yourself a bottle of Vinylex, or get a bottle of 303 Aerospace Protectant if stores in your area carry it. Put a generous coating of it on all of the gaskets and rubber parts around the sunroof. That will have the effects of cleaning the gaskets and making them smoother and more slippery.

Either that or there is a watch in your backseat.

its from the seats, no doubt about it guys.... and i mean i can turn up the music to mask off the sound... btw, I think another source of the door rattling with music is the fabic (the leather thingy) on the side of the door pannel is not too suck on to the door, if you press on it, the rattling goes away... its sorta strange....

on another note, how are we supposed to control our music if even +1 bass is too loud? I listen to portuguese jazz and with trebel at 2 and bass at 1, my doors still shake... *my head* *shake* .... ahhh this is what we get for buying a first generation car... 05's will most likely not have the problem cuz R&D will have figured it out.

But we love em anyways =D

Cheers,
Peter
