I have the Comptech header and a 2005 AT. The block is on mine as well but I have no rattle and the O2 sensor doesn't seem to come as close as to the block in the pictures that where posted. Hmmm, maybe the header or something is tweaked.... but it sure seems that sensor is located in a different place than mine.

Well I just put on my Comptech Headers and RT CAT Friday! So I've got the whole deal INJEN CAI/ CT Headers/ RT CAT/ CT Exhaust.

I have an 06 AT and I DO have the block that hangs down, like from the pictures above. Once the Headers and Cat were on, I inspected everything from under the car while it was still on the lift.... Nothing in the area from where the Headers come down to where they join with the CAT has anything touching. Closet thing is the Sensor hole on the Headers.... is about 2 fingers away from the block hanging down, but still looks far enough away so no matter if there is engine vibration/resonance, nothing should touch

So far, no rattles or vibrations.... for the most part. Ocassionaly while in D at a light or stopped, I notice a very very slight vibration, but I attribute that to more air flowing through, and the design of the header and CAT. It definitley does not feel anything like Reach or others has described. It is not a rattle or anything, just the feeling of more air, but it's barely noticeable, and like I said, actually sounds like a very light rumble....

I used to think my INJEN CAI was loud , but i can barely hear it over the headers and cat now LOL> Actually, it doesn't even seem like the headers and Cat that are that much louder, I think more air is flowing now, and the exhaust is producing a higher note. When I start the car and walk around to the back, the sound coming out of the exhaust is much more deep and hard sound, and the mufflers have more of a vibration to them now, like there really meant to sound. I love it.

So far so good, but hopefully others with the rattle will be able to find out what exactly is causing it, be it's weird that this is affecting some while some don't have it? Again, I do have the block hanging down, and I don't have Vibration/Rattle... so I don't think that's the problem for those with the block hanging down.

Yeah, I've realized its not the block, its got something to do with airflow.

Let us know about rattles/no-rattles in a week or two!

I am new to this site but I have been reading alot about the Comptech header vibration problem most people have had. I have a stock 06 5AT and am looking to just do some quick bolt ons plus the reflash. After reading all of the post regarding the header I am not sure if it is worth doing it to lose my sanity over the slight noise/vibration. Did the vibration ever appear for you? IF so after how long? If so did the problem ever work itself out?
