clutch problem?

clutch problem?

i drove up to cali with no problems but on the trip back i had a hard time accelerating when i hit the throttle i really didnt move much and the rpms just shot up. with my driving style i dont think i burn the clutch up. Anyone know what is wrong with my car...or maybe even my driving???

Sounds like your clutch is toast. Its happened to at least one person on here as well so you might want to look for some old threads on the subject. I think the guy had a hard time convincing the dealer it wasnt his aggresive driving that was to blame.

why is it that my car works fine again? its weird does driving on avg 90mph for like 340 miles bad for the car??? also when i couldnt accerlerate the clutch stopped clicking nowit clicks again and i can accelerate this i very odd

ok now the problem i have i cant accelerate hard in 4-6 gears but 1-3 is fine i think 2 is a lil slower than normal but 1st gear is perfect and 3rd seems fine as well anyone hear of a problem like this before man i know the dealer is gonna say driver default if i take it to them they alwasy do!!!

This sort of sentiment seems very normal around here. Is this impression of dealer service level fitting to "upscale" brands?? This is quite irritating. Now every time I read about polite service or helpful understanding, it's a nice "surprise"...

All these problems like clutch failures, alignment, rust, rattles, etc, I know are typical for a new car and, of course, biased by the nature of this web board, but the disturbing feeling is that when you find a problem, you're on your own.

Let us know how it turns out..

I don't think it's a clutch problem if you can accelerate through 3rd gear. I think gears 4-6 don't exist any more. They could be stripped somehow.

I would have it looked at (transmission, not clutch).

well officially i am ....SCREWED they gave me some BS like i drag race and said the clutch is smoked hmm i drive a porsche and audi 1.8t both my dads and mind u they have short clutches so i know i dont ride the clutch also they are charging me a WHOPPING $1800 total!!!!!!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! honda clutches should last long my friend has a honda with the stock clutch with 126k on it and it has lasted all his clutch burning launches at the drag strip ooooo i am soo pisssed!

so neo ur clutch is fried as well... also i was wondering where i can find a clutch for the tsx even if it is stock i cant find a website with the prices let alone the clutch itself??????
