If you have the target temp of the climate control set to a very cold temperature the climate control speeds the blower up to full blast to try and transfer the warm air out of the interior quickly. I set mine for between 70-72 degrees which keeps the interior comfortable without having the blower running full blast most of the time (it will still speed the blower up somewhat when the interior is super hot from being parked in the sun, but it slows down fairly quickly).

Oh well, he explained everything.

Good reason to take it off full auto. More trouble than it's worth, imo.

I agree...I'd much rather have control of my own climate. Nice feature but just not for me.

Hmm....I like it. It's only on high for a couple minutes, until the temp settles at whatever you set it to, then it just does what it needs to in order to maintain that temp.

I like auto, except for when it takes me off of recirculate air. Last time it happened, I was at a red light beside a super smokey truck. I was glad I couldn't smell it. Suddenly, the vents opened, and I was coughing and gasping for air...it was a very strong chemical smell.

The only time I take it off of auto is when it's so hot I want the blower higher, or it's winter time and I don't want the fan blowing cold air on me until the heater has warmed up

I noticed that when I first got my car as well. But now, after 2.5 years of ownership, my climate control doesn't do that anymore! Weird.
