Exclamation clicking noise

I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem that I am experiencing. This just recently started happening.

When i have the radio off and it's quiet in the car, and i'm am stopping at a stop light, and right before i come to a complete stop i'll hear a "click" from the gear-shifter area. Then when the light turns green and i start to go, i'll hear the "click" again from the gear-shifter area.

I've confirmed that there is nothing rattling (coins, etc.). It's something internal. Furthermore, if I'm in D3, it wont happen.

Any ideas?

AT or MT TSX? MT's have had issues with the clutch pedal clicking and/or squealing.

I have it too, but haven't noticed it in a while. I think someone might have mentioned it being the brake solenoid, but not sure if I'm remembering correctly. Whatever it is, it hasn't turned into a problem for me. I have an '04 AT.

Shift lock solenoid. I don't feel you should be able to hear it at all. I had it replaced by the dealer because it got so bad it sounded like a marble was rolling around with every brake/acceleration. The replacement does it too, but hardly ever and it's much quieter than the first one. Still considering going back to the dealer, but I remember that when it was being fixed, the loner RSX they gave me it had the same problem.

have the same problem... went to the dealer once and got it fixed... it was good for about 3 months or so... now the noise is back again, but not as loud as before..

if it gets louder again i'll bring it back again to get fixed...

I definitely think its the brake solenoid too. My 06 has the same problem and it is annoying. I also feel the clicking in the brake pedal when I release it. I will mention it at my service appt.

the clicking while breaking is apparently normal for all TSX's... i think this ones true cause i've driven a few other TSX's and they all have this, the clicking while accellerating is not normal though...
