My '04 has it on occasion, and my theory is this:

There are 2 switches that work with the clutch: One for the cruise control shutoff, and one for the "OK" to start the car.

The cruise one is to tell if the clutch pedal is being pressed, so it's at the top of the pedal travel. The car-start one is to tell if the clutch is pressed all the way down, so it's at the bottom of the clutch travel.

My opinion is that the switches that they used for these two applications are very loud/"snappy" switches, whereas in my Integra, they used a switch covered in a little rubber boot (or condom, if you will). It muted the sound AND the snappy feeling you get through the pedal.

I live with it in my TSX because there are much more fun things to think about while driving it.

I'm currently still living with it, and still having fun, but it's still a major pain in the ass. It just feels wrong!

 

My clutch pedal just started to click just a couple of days ago. It is the loud click that I can feel in my foot and passengers in the back seat can hear (if the stereo is turn down of course). My car has just under 30k miles and it just started doing it. Now from reading all these posts I'm kinda worried that the dealer won't be able to fix it properly. I can't believe all the things that I have had issues with in this car. Rattles, poor front rotors, shifting driver's seat, bad rear alignment, and now a damn clicking clutch pedal....what the hell is next on the list?....I never had any problems with my Integra (minus the standard Honda 3rd gear syncro problem).
