so i noticed that the chrome on my grill is chipping off, anyone else have this problem? i don' t know how it started either. will warranty cover this?

 

Same issue. I have an 06 and I noticed the little specs commin off a few months ago when show season kicked in. I dont know if warrenty covers it. I am lookin at a badgeless grill.

 

same thinking the mugen, but its definitely steep in price.

 

Mugen is a little steep in price; However, I believe you get what you pay for. lol. Like their Aero kit for the TSX....Sooooo sexy!

 

werd. my grill is literally peeling off i'd have to say i have a whole 2 inch segment of chrome missing. you think warranty will cover? or should i just get a new grill?

Sadly I doubt warrenty will cover it.

 

My dealer did. I brought my TSX in for an oil change and they told me that they would call me when the part came in. A little confused, I looked at my service bill and saw that they are replacing the front grill under warranty. Now that winter is here, I'll wait until spring before calling them since it's been a few months.

HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH GRILL... WENT TO ACURA THE DID WARRANTY IT YEAH...SO I THOUGHT. 1ST TRIP TO GET REPLACED THEY ORDERED WRONG PART..2ND TRIP THEY PUT IT IN WRONG(SIDES STICKING OUT AND TRIED TO DELIVER IT THAT WAY AWESOME!!!)..NOW THEY ARE ORDERING WHOLE GRILL ASSY FROM JAPAN AND 2 WEEK LATER IM STILL DRIVING AROUND WITH WINGS STICKING OUT THE SIDE OF MY GRILL(DIDN'T MAKE ME ANY FASTER DAMN!!)

SO YES IT IS WARRANTY BUT BE PREPAIRED FOR A COUPLE TRIPS...

 

If you are out of warranty, a lot of custom shops (at least some around here) can re-chrome the plastic for less than 40 bucks, my friend did this with his TL, mines still rockin the remainder of the warranty but its a good option to keep in mind for later. The shops are the same ones that will chrome anything, from plastic to metal, they take interior trim pieces and chrome them out for people rolling with a lot of bling.

 

hi - i am having probs with the paint on my silver tsx '05. my grill is also coming off but i think this is more to do with rock chips from highway driving.

 

can the chrome be stripped off and painted to match the car?

 

i got mine replaced under warranty at gatorland acura.

 

i wanna get mine done.. was everyones chipped a lot? cuz mines only in one little corner.. but it still bugs me..
