check transmission light came on
I have 2006 tsx automatic. Check transmission light came on and "d" is blinking, so I hooked up computer to get code it says "pass, no code found". Anyone know what it could be?

I've read on another forum an owner of a 06 TSX no Navi had the same issue along with check emissions. Oddly, it was caused by rats or mice nibbling on his wiring under the car. Your problem could be to faulty wiring also? Other folks had bad sensor on the transmission causing the flashing "D". It could be also low transmission fluid. Other folks had emission and transmission lights at the same time and the solution was to double-check the gas cap and drive it a few days. I'm not 100% sure what the transmission check light is suppose to check and if other system errors can cause the fault?
Either way, I think you are stuck going to the dealership to be sure.

artur08,
did you find out what was the reason for the Transmission Check warning without a code? I have the same issue with my 08 auto. After 5 min driving I had this warning come up today. Fluid level is a bit over the hot limit, but I don't see it as a cause for this. Car shifts well, no weird sound, no slippage no whining.

Bumping thread for another question - I had this light come on today (06 AT) on my way home. Nothing unusual going on, just came on. I pulled over, turned off the car, checked the transmission fluid (just had it flushed at the dealer) - all seemed well. Light hasn't come on since.
So do I need to be worried if it just comes on once but not again, or is the fact that it came on at all enough to take it in? My instinct is to let it go and see if it comes on a second time before going in. Seems like if it stays off it's more likely a false-positive. Thoughts?

My light came on two different times and I remember I had my hand resting on Shifter one time and had a bag resting near it the other time while driving. Could something be about to brake? I havent tried to recreate the problem, but I trying to baby it. thanks, good luck, have a good weekend.
