change what exactly? if you want to change the bulb out, just pop open the cover on the back and you should be able to swap them.

to answer your question, there is a ballast in your lamp on either side screwed to the bottom of the housing. from there the actual bulb plugs into that unit and yes it is held in with a tamper resistant torx screw

the actualbulb shouldn't blow out . there may be a problem w/ your ballast or the wiring.

the easiest way to replace the hid bulbs to remove the front bumper cover and then the headlight assembly . does not take that long . and it is not called a ballast. it is an inverter and igniter. all in the same unit

You can remove the bumper and headlight assembly first if you want. But that's not the easiest way. The easiest way is to "simply" remove the rear cover (you need a security torx tip), then the bulb connector, bulb retainer clip, then the bulb. There is absolutely no need to remove the bumper.

"inverter" is not shown as a separate piece in this pic right ?

It's 33107-S0A-J01. You can just replace it with a normal screw, unless you really want that torx screw.

Ic, thanks. Do you think they would sell that part alone, and if it would be hard to install? I don't know what happened to mine but it looks really burnt somehow.. My lights been out for quite some time and I need to replace ASAP.

Yes, you can purchase the part by itself. Not sure how hard/easy the install is, but it looks like a plug into the HID Control Unit and the HID Bulb sits in the D2S base. As long as you have access to the plug end, it would appear to be a relatively easy install.

Does any one know where I can get a torx screw remover? Autozone? Well, any ways I been having a problem with my driver side headlight, which does not seem as bright as my pass. side. Could this be a bulb problem or my ballast? thanks in advance.

Torx head screws are fairly common now and you could probably find a set of drivers anywhere that sells tools (even Wal-Mart). They come with a handle like a regular screwdriver or you can buy a socket set to use with a ratchet or driver (Craftsman for instance has quite a variety). I have a set that are sized 10,15,20,25,27 for use with a 1/4" drive ratchet and size 30,35,40,45,50, and 55 for use with a 3/8" drive ratchet. The numbers don't seem to signify anything (that I can tell anyway) other than the bigger the number, the bigger the Torx head .
