CAI Intake Tube Problem

Hey guys I'm having a little problem with the intake hose. I have a Injen CAI w/ MR Technology.
Heres some pics for some visuals.

And this is my problem, this hose keeps popping out, it came loose 2 times already. The last time I checked on it, the hose was totally disconnected. And as you can see the hose is kinda stressed for it to connect it.

I already tried moving the tube with the Injen logo on it up a little and still doesnt fit. I tried to angle the EVAP Vent and still doesnt fit. And I also tried taking that area apart and reinstalling it and you guessed it still doesnt fit.

Man after it popped out the first time I get so paranoid when I'm driving if it popped out or not.

find some other DIY install pics (search), there were initial problems with almost everybody getting the hoses to fit right. I would take a picture of mine, but i dont have my camera with me and im not home to upload.

you do seem to have a lot of clamps on that hose on the left. your "injen" short hose can go up on teh aluminum fitting some also.

take a look at step #20: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=injen

if you need to, go to the auto store and buy a slightly longer tube for the valve cover. that would probably give you the extra clearance that you need to get everything to fit right. it would also give you a little more play and might help prevent that from popping off. that shouldn't cost you more than 1 dollar. or if need be, get some super glue on that part that keeps popping off. that would probably keep it from moving.

When I installed my CAI, I have the exact problems, it's not that the hose won't fit but rather too short. I ended up went to Canadian Tire (or HoMe Depot), bought some PVC tube in 6inchs or sth, then put it on. I don't even need those clamps because the PVC hose are like perfect fit.

When my engine block was replaced, the master tech at my dealership took it upon himself to change the metal hose that is barely visibly in your picture (between the two rubber hoses on the far left of your picture). He replaced the metal hose-connector AND both rubber hoses (either side), with one rubber hose running from the plastic "box" thing, to the valve cover. Looks great, doesn't separate, job done.

I didn't notice it until about 2 weeks after I had the block replaced, otherwise I would have thanked him personally for taking the time to do it himself.
