Bright headlight

One of my headlights is brighter than the other. Is there a way to correct this? I have not made any changes the headlights. Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Also, remember the lights are not aimed the same, so you could just be mistaking the fact you are seeing one directly on and not the other.

is this from your observation while you're driving the car? or when you're looking at the car head on... if you're looking at the car head on then it's most likely what moda said...

*dito to the pics...

I'll take a couple of pics tonight. My observation is from both, when I'm driving the car and also when I'm looking at the car head on. The driver's side light is much brighter. I also notice when I'm driving that alot of the on comming traffic covers their eyes because they get blinded by my lights. Alot of drivers flash their high beams at me to signal me that I have my high beams on, but they're not. Whenever I would pick up my girlfriend, she said she knew it was me comming because the driver's headlight was brighter.

It's unusual for the driver's side to appear brighter. It should be aimed lower than the passenger side so it will appear darker. Take a shot with your lights aimed at a wall so we can see the beam pattern. it should look something like this _____/----------

OK guys, here are the pictures! As you can clearly see, the drivers side headlight is brighter than the other.

About 10 feet away with flash
about 10 feet away without flash
about 10 feet away without flash
about 10 feet away with flash
front view with flash
front view without flash
about 40 feet away without flash
about 40 feet away with flash

Please help! Is there any way to correct this?

to me, neither headlights appear to be "brighter"

i believe you need to adjust the height of your driver side headlight slightly lower than the passenger side. Otherwise you might be blinding oncoming traffic

My Eyes says that your bulb looks ok, but the height on the drivers side HID is higher than it should be = Lower the drivers side HID

your headlights are seriously unaligned. did it come like that? do you see how you have two distinct cutoffs? you need to adjust and lower the driver side headlight

here's info: http://https://acurazine.com/forums/...ad.php?t=21758

Yeah, it looks like more of an adjustment problem to me.

I have the same problem as him, with the exact same beam pattern(really high on the driver side), however the driver side can go higher and can go lower, but only low enough to a certain point which is still too bright. anyone else know how to fix this? will pay if i have to! thanks

if the problem is one is brighter than the other, then raise the passanger side so they'll be the same brightness. if the problem is the driver side is too high, well then you have a problem

Are you sure that it's too high? Did you make sure to do the measurements in the instructions? I remember when I first got my car I thought the lights were too high also (that is before they got out of alignment).

Off topic: Alright guys! Here is the pic of my said girlfriend. She's the one on the far left. Her friends are available and I could introduce you guys. Keep your pants on and the drooling to a minimum please.

Sounds like the headlight assembly wasn't installed onto the body correctly. The adjustments should only let you adjust them for a certain range...if it's too high at the lowest adjustment, then it sounds like the headlight assembly wasn't installed onto the body correctly.

honestly I think its probably a user error, if you're not familiar w/ HIDs and the cutoff or don't know how to properly adjust the headlights, it'd be easy to think theres a problem. I suggest taking it to the dealership to get it checked, either way it'll get fixed
