brake

Hi,

Wondering if anyone knows this. my brake squeaks in the mornings when I first start drviing it. I thought to take it in for a checkup. any idea if that is covered in the warranty? Its a little more than 2 years old and <25000 miles.

do you park ur TSX outdoor? or in garage? if it's parked outdoor then might be the moist on ur rotor. it goes away in a little while. if it's parked in garage, might be time to replace the break pad. there are some good break setups threads in this forum. search around !

It could be the wear sensor. Have you, or a mechanic, looked at the pads to see how much material you have left?

Dont know what the weather is like there at the mo, but mine does this in the morning also and its due to some surface rust that builds up on the discs overnight (scottish weather). After a few miles its gone, doubt it will be the wear indicator, it would do it all the time in my experience. Have the pads been changed? Do you have a lip on your brake discs at the top or bottom of the disc? This could also cause a squeak, but doubt its this.
